Are your PC Windows loading very slow. The loading screen takes around 20-30 secs to load ar after the first 5 secs the CPU or HDD stops and it just stays?

Solution 1. >>You just set it to watch your boot parameters and options and it will make a log with every error or possible failures that you have. It's relatively easy to use and it might help you with the boot problem

Solution 2. >>Bootvis is very good for handling boot problems or debugging. If you have problems with the settings of Bootvis you can post them here, maybe we can help.

Solution 3. >>Also if you have a CD or DVD in your drive the computer will try to read it at the bootup. If this cd/dvd is scratched it may take time before your windows boots...I just wanted to mention this...just in case

What we do if computer is infected with a virus?

If you think to suspect your computer is infected with a virus (you have opened a suspicious e-mail attachment, your computer is suddenly crashing or running slowly, you receive any error messages whenever you start up your computer or try to launch an application, a friend or colleague has warned you that they have received an infected e-mail attachment from you), then:

Solution 1. >>Immediately disconnect your computer from the network to prevent the virus from spreading further or e-mailing out copies of your personal documents. If you have a wireless network adapter, you will need to both unplug your network cord and disable your wireless connection. Most notebooks with wireless have a physical button or switch to power off the wireless card.

Check to see if your virus protection is up-to-date and scan your hard drive for viruses.

How to choose Peripherals for a Computer?

Step 1. >>Buy a printer unless you have access to one at work or will use your computer only to surf the Internet. Ink-jet printers cost less and can print colors. Laser printers are more expensive (only very expensive ones can print in color) but have better text quality and are more likely to print PostScript fonts and files. Laser printers also cost less per use, as ink-jet cartridges run out quickly and are expensive.

Step 2. >>Buy a scanner if you wish to "photocopy" text, documents or pictures into your computer. A scanner can also help you fax documents not created on your computer, if you have a modem and fax software.

Step 3. >>Buy a backup storage device, such as an external hard disk, Zip drive or CD-RW drive, if you need to back up large amounts of data and your computer doesn't have a built-in Zip drive or CD-RW drive.

Step 4. >>Buy powered speakers for better sound quality than what you get from the speakers that came with your computer.

Step 5. >>Buy a microphone to use a speakerphone, voice activation, and various educational programs or to record your own simple sounds.

Step 6. >>Buy a digital camera for the easiest way of transferring photographs into your computer.

Step 7. >>Buy other peripherals to meet specific wants and needs. For example, buy a joystick to increase your speed and flexibility when playing action games, or a videoconferencing camera for teleconferencing.

How connect a laptop and a desktop to transfer files?

The best way to connect your laptop to your desktop is to use the computers' built-in networking capabilities. This can be done by connecting the computers via an Ethernet or wireless network connection. An Ethernet connection requires that each computer has an Ethernet port, which looks like a wide phone jack. If you are connecting two computers directly, you need to use an Ethernet crossover cable. If you are connecting both computers to a network hub, you should use a straight-through Ethernet cable to connect each computer to the hub.

In order to create a wireless network, both computers need a wireless card. You also should have a wireless router that acts as the base station for the network. The system software on your computer should automatically recognize when a wireless card is installed. It should also prompt you to connect to the closest wireless router. If it does not, your computer's reference manual should explain how to connect to the wireless network. Once both computers are communicating with the wireless router, they are both on the same network, and therefore can share files with each other.

Cleaning your keyboard

Step 1.>>Shut down the computer.
Step 2.>>Disconnect the keyboard.
Step 3.>>Use compressed air to clean between the keys and spray at an angle to dislodge dust and grime.
Step 4.>> Shake loose dust gently out of the keyboard.
Step 5.>>Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Otherwise, spray a small amount of fluid onto a rag.
Step 6.>>Wipe the keys and chassis.
Step 7.>>Wait until the keyboard is dry before reconnecting it to the computer.
Step 8.>>Reconnect the keyboard and restart the computer.

How i know about speed of my processor?

There are many ways to check the speed of the computer processor. Below is a listing of the methods:-

Step 1.>>If you have purchased the computer from an Original Equipment Manufacturer, the manufacturer will likely include documentation that lists the system specifications of the computer.
Step 2.>>If the computer does not have documentation or does not indicate the processor speed as it boots, it is also possible that the processor speed will be listed in the CMOS setup. Generally, this information will be listed under the main or advanced settings of CMOS.
Step 3.>>Various software utilities are available to list and detect the computer processor.
Step 4.>>The best method of determining the computer processor speed would be to physically look at the actual processor. It is important to note that this option may not be available if a non-removable heat-sink is attached to the processor.
